Celebrating the Life of an Amazing Traveler

Phil

I traveled to Cincinnati, OH (my hometown) to celebrate the life of a close friend of mine, Phil.

Phil and me and Seth and Cassie's wedding, 2015.

This photo is from his son Seth's wedding in 2015. Seth happens to be my best friend from 8th grade English class where he and our other friend Jon shot rubber bands and paper footballs at the back of my head. You know, how normal 12 year old kids make friends, right? His dad, Phil, became like another father figure to me over the years. We shared a passion for aviation, cycling, and travel. Phil fought long and hard against cancer and has moved on to another adventure. We'll miss you here on Earth, Phil.

After he retired, Phil became an accomplished iPhone artist.

The world is a better place for having had you in it, Phil. Here's the link to his obituary. I can't do him justice.

Cincinnati

While I was home, I checked out more new Cincinnati things with my folks. I appreciated the opportunity to spend some time with them, as always, but with a little bit of extra sentiment to it this time.

Phoebe, my folks' new puppy, is a little calmer this time around. Here she is sitting down during a walk because she got hot with all that hair! Who doesn't love a picture of a puppy?

I was fortunate to spend time with my parents as well as Seth and his family during this trip. Phil, you were such an amazing friend and I will truly miss you. Thank you for all of the great memories.
